Chinese Translation of My Book and Linkedin Profile

Posted on September 22, 2017

I had my book translated into Chinese.

I also put my linkedin.com profile in Chinese:

Let us see what touch-up work needs to be done.

More broadly, I see this trend happening a lot in the educational field.

We all know most of the valuable scholarly work, research, etc. has been published in English.  It is still the lingua franca of the world.  However, because China has more native speakers than English, I can rapidly see a changing market to cater to the needs of the Chinese native that wants to become more international.  On one hand, the sheer quantity of the market is so great.  But, copycatting is such a threat that it makes it difficult to put content design online.

Perhaps there can be a way to get content online, deliver it at a reasonably low-cost, and have practices that are more inclusive of Chinese in the process.  Certainly, it is what my “Joe Klunder Education Challenge” at JoeKlunder.org wants to do.  Many people are willing to work hard to make a better life for them and their families; it is just a question of educating them about the rules on how to be good citizens that would be very valuable.
